► Athletic Union

Athletic Union is the official forum for the Sports Clubs of the Students’ Union, where issues specifically relating to sporting activities are discussed. Compulsory attendance is required by a member of every Sports Club at UTSU. Athletic Union self-elects a Chair, Union Senate Representatives, Sports Committee, Sports Awards Committee and AU Tour committee to run things smoothly.

Sports Committee allocates funds to all the Clubs, Sports Awards Committee votes on who receives the prestigious sporting awards at the Annual Awards Dinner and AU Tour committee decide where the clubs go on the official Union tour and what happens when they get there!

The Executive Committee is represented at this forum by the Student Activities Officer, President and Activities & Volunteering Officer and Clubs have the chance to ask questions on sporting issues.

All students are welcome to attend Athletic Union and speak on matters affecting Clubs, but only one member from each Club may vote in any decisions, usually a committee member from the Club.
